I appreciate your candidness without being over critical on the churches you have learned from, both positives and negatives. Your intellect fused with your humor intertwines a fresh and revitalized approach to expressing the concerns of "the church" in Austin. May God use you as a savory marinade to saturate God's truth and love into a city with many dry, bland churches. Thank you for your passionate heart and for your constant mutiny against complacency!

Chris..I read this blog because when I saw your fb status I was curious. You see, I do not call myself a christian, nor do I care for most organised religions or the idea or experience of church in general. I spend many years in many churches and was baptized 4 different times searching for that one right place for me. I am always intrigued by others journeys into finding a place to share in their beliefs with others because on some level I usuall identify with them. I recently reached out to a friend inaustin who shares many of my aforementioned views and asked him about his church. We, my bf and I are looking possibly for a congregation that may fit us. A place where we can go to be filled with spiritual knowlege, where we can feed our souls and minds and not worry about "the big show" or feeling put on the spot or "preached to". Anyway, just wanted you to know we are house hunting here in austin too and I appreciate your opinion/ review!
