It Was Nice While It Lasted

Yesterday I moved out of my apartment.  Moving is never fun, but for myself and my roommate, that space was intrinsically linked to why we ended up in Austin in the first place.  After nine months of doing our best to serve our neighbors, we are moving on.

There is blame to go around, and for a little while, I was mad about it.  But the facts are:

1.  It got me to Austin.
2.  I had a few months of cheap rent.
3.  I met some great people.  I believe I showed them God’s love.
4.  I know more about what I’m good at, and a lot more about what I’m not good at.

I’m still to rattled to call it a win, smile and move on.  It wouldn’t be difficult to soak in the sense of repeating failure.  I’m exhausted on so many levels.

But that would be a lie.  The truth is, it was nice while it lasted.  I can’t wait to see what’s next.
