But For You Who Fear My Name – Welcome Wagon

According to the Asthmatic Kitty Website, Welcome Wagon’s frontman, Rev. Vito was “raised on a farm, by a gentleman farmer father and choir teacher mother, in the same small town as [his wife] Monique.” Vito is a Church Planter and Pastor in the ultrahip neighborhood Brooklyn neighborhood Williamsburg.  Owing much of it’s sound to collaborator Sufjan Stevens, Welcome Wagon brings simple and inspiring old fashion gospel sounds back into  urban churches.  When we sing this at my church, I’m either dancing or crying.
