Holy Spirit is still around with the gifts. When the Wird says these things will pass when the perfect comes: is referring to a person. Which would be the 2nd coming of Christ.

ErinAstolfiBlank The question isn’t a bad one – but substitutionary atonement is only one theory of atonement. The Christian faith is about restored relationship, with God, neighbor, and creation. People hear plenty about Christ crucified for our sins, what they don’t hear is that to live into that gift of salvation requires work into those restored relationships.
Honestly, Chris is right to say we need to talk about this more than pontificate. People need to have opportunities to share their struggles with following Christ. These struggles include difficulty in imitation of Christ’s actions along with struggles with the conceptual framework we need to be saved from. This is the very definition of safe space where we can search the scriptures and our selves together.
Salvation and being made new requires more than just acquiescing to a set of beliefs. If we truly want to partner our wills with God, we need to recognize the reflective nature of the will. That participating in the joy of salvation fully requires conscious work.
