Negro Spirituals capture the Christian musician’s calling at it’s best. Their songs blended the needs of the slave community with images from scripture 60s soul singer Bobby Womack revived his career by singing with the super virtual band Gorillaz. His album The Bravest Man in the Universe continues his collaboration with Blur/Gorillaz producer/songwriter Damon Albarn while returning to his roots as a gospel and soul singer.
