3 Reasons I’m Saying Goodbye Moleskin

Chris —  May 4, 2010

A few years back I was introduced to the beauty of Moleskins by friend and creative genius, Talia.  The hard cover, blank pages, and superpowered-always-flat-binding revolutionized my journaling.  Moleskins make me feel classy. They fool me into thinking that the stream of consciousness complaints and prayers may have literary merit.

However, inspired by Ben Arment to give the Action Journal a try.

Here’s why I’m attracted enough to cheat on my Moleskin:

1- I desperately need to organize my thoughts. Perhaps the “Action Method” will be a first step toward getting things done.

2- One time I heard Louie Giglio suggest taking a journal with you while you pray.  Write down extraneous thoughts, so you can come back to them later.  God won’t get his feelings hurt, and you’ll be less distracted. Figured I’d give it a try.

3- Bright colors.

The only downside I’m afraid of is the grid dots.  I’ll miss my blank pages.

How do you keep your thoughts in order?
