Friday Roundup

  • I just realized that I ended each post’s title with a question mark.  That’s obnoxious.  Sorry?
  • We’ve had a lot of visitors in our home these last few days.  It’s great.  Houses are made to be full.
  • What did Christian bloggers write about before Rob Bell’s Love Wins?  I realize I’m a part of the problem, but come on guys, this is getting ridiculous.
  • Sea of Bees was recently recommended to me.  I now recommend it to you.
  • The audio recording of Dune is phenomenal.  Part radio drama, part audiobook.  I really like how the evil Baron Vladamir Harkonnen was portrayed.
  • Bought my plane tickets for MAGL class in Colorado Springs this May.  If you live there, we should hang out.
  • One book I’m reading for this quarter’s classes is the classic How To Read The Bible for All Its Worth. Funny how we say read the Bible, but we seldom think about how we read it.
  • Did some birthdaying at East Side King on Sunday and a little more tonight at East Austin Trailer Park.  All the best things in Austin, and life, are outside.
  • Who wants to buy me an NIV 2011?
