Friday Round Up

  • How did you respond to the Osama’s death?  If you go to church, do you think it will come up?
  • How does Fuller respond to the whole Love Win’s controversy?  Some professors have added it to the curriculum.  Not because they agree, but because we need to rehearse our beliefs on the afterlife.
  • Countries represented include my MAGL cohort: USA (including Hawaii), Liberia, Canada, Korea, Senegal, Lebanon, China and Canada.
  • Despite the prevailing wisdom about Colorado Springs (where I’m staying for the next two weeks), the city is about 80% non-Christian.
  • Agia Sophia, a Greek Orthodox themed coffee shop, is one the top rated things (not just coffee shops) in Colorado Springs.
  • I downloaded Kindle for my iPhone, because:
  • I’ve been hearing a lot about New Monastic Jonathan Wilson-Hartgrove’s The Wisdom of Stability.  It’s only $.99 on Kindle, for a limited time!
  • I came across him through a fascinating website and podcast called Jesus Radicals.  You will be either inspired or offended, or both.
  • Then I saw that John Chandler suggested Do the Work,  about things that get in the way of creativity, which is FREE on Kindle.
  • Did I mention my class overlooks Pike’s Peak?
